Styled To Rock
Recently Styled to Rock, basically Project Catwalk with a bit more fierceness to it had its debut. After just two episode's I can well and truely say I'm hooked. Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE RIHANNA! Like borderline stalker obsessed but this isn't the only reason I'm hooked, some the garments these designers create are amazing ! Especially considering most of them are still studying or taught themselves how to sew. Its definitely a must watch, it allows you to understand celebrity clients such as the Rizzle Kicks, Pixie Lott etc. Every episode is totally different to the last making it more and more interesting.
The judges on the show are perfect for it; Henry Holland Head Designer at House of Holland, Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud, Stylist to Rihanna Lysa Cooper all have different styles and tastes and all bring something to the table. Nicola is able to understand the needs of celebrity clientèle, Henry understands how demanding and stressful it is as a designer as well as the importance of time management and Lysa clearly understands how little key touches and changes to an outfit can make a world of difference.
If you're interested in fashion, as a career or just in general I would seriously recommend this show.
Its on Sky Living Tuesdays at 9pm.

Fifty Shades Trilogy.
I'm pretty sure you've seen tons on women on the tube or bus reading Fifty shades of grey, Fifty Shades Darker or Fifty Shades Freed. When I first heard about the book I was a bit unsure as to whether to read it or not, but when I had 5+ of my friends telling me I must read it - I thought what have I got to lose eh ? I started reading the first one & I couldn't put it down, I just had to know what was going to happen next. It was as if I was watching a series of a TV show - it was that descriptive.
The description is so intense ( especially in the sexual scenes) it causes your mind to run wild. I read all 3 in the space if a week. If you're looking for a book that will make you delve into a whole other world - then this is it !
I cannot wait for the film to be released - hopefully its sometime soon. :)
I wonder if there are any real Christian Grey's out there ? Hopefully there are, but just not as messed up as Mr Grey lol.

Met Gala 2012.
From simple sleek styles to long embellished trains fashion craft was at it's peak at last nights Costume Institute gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (aka: the MET Ball) celebrities, designers, musicians, actors all put on their 'Sunday Best'. Some of the dresses left me in awe, whereas some well lets just say I kept asking myself 'What were they thinking ?
Solange as usual was wearing something unsuprisingly eye-catching garment. Last night she appeared at the gala on the arm of designer Rachel Roy. What a coincidence - I had just recently blogged about peplums and look at what Solange is wearing ! She wore the hottest trend of Spring 2012 in such a sophisticated and elegant manor. The dress fitted her to the T, showing her womanly figure in the best way possible.
She matched the bright yellow dress with a tribal style cuff, a glittery gold clutch and gold rings.
I love it, not everyone could have pulled off this look but Solange rocked it well.
Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love Rihanna. So of course her outfit was the one I most wanted to see & if I'm honest I was left thinking 'Oh is that it'. Even though the dress is a stunning creation by Tom Ford the crocodile like skin detailing is amazing along with the sexy cut out back. BUT I was expecting something more WOW from Rihanna. I do like the outfit but I definitely expected more from Rihanna. Simple is not something I often associate with Rihanna.
My favourite looks of the night

Peplums.
Hiya guys, I'm actually ashamed that I haven't blogged in ages but life's been hectic atm & I don't have time for anything - not even sleep literally lol. Anyway enough of my excuses, let's talk fashion :D.
Who would have thought it eh ?! A 90's revival of Peplums. They have surfaced as on the top Spring 2012 trends. Every high street store, on every red carpet & in every magazine you'll see the current trend of peplums. This silloutte hugging must have can instantly making your waist look inches smaller. Hearing Peplums & you probably almost instantly think dresses, well you're wrong peplums are available in skirts, tops, jackets as well as dresses. This makes the trend accessible to everyone of all ages & body types. It does not get any better than that.

The thing I love most about this trend is the fact that not all peplums are the same, there are various styles that appeal to different people.
I for one love it!
