Pastels.

The wait is finally over, we can day bye bye to our winter jackets & hello to floral prints & denim shorts. Spring has finally arrived !! AMEN !! Mint green, lemon sorbet, & pastel blue just saying those colours make me smile. The great thing about pastels is that they suit every skin tone. They provide a plain/bland outfit with that sassy edge. I love it.

Ralph Lauren 2012 Spring Fashion Show.

The pastel trend can be seen from the catwalk to the high street & is definitely a must have in your spring 2012 wardrobe. The likes of Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger & many others all used pastels as their colour palette for their Spring 2012 fashion shows.

Dip Dye Mania.

The dip dye trend has taken over the streets of London... everywhere I go I see a handful of girls in these shorts. Unsurprisingly on the high street they retail for about £30+. I thought to myself why pay that amount when I have everything I need to make a similar pair of shorts at home... so that is exactly what I did.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- an old pair of jeans
- nail file or sand paper
- scissors
- bucket or bowl
- some water
- bleach

STEP ONE:
Mark & cut the jeans to the desired length

STEP TWO:
Roughen the edges of the shorts by rubbing the nail file or sand paper back & forth against the shorts ( the same way you would file your nails)

STEP THREE:
Create rips in the shorts by getting a small section cutting it and then rubbing the nail file over the section you have just cut.

STEP FOUR:
Once you have made the shorts look the way you wish, pour some water into the bowl/bucket fill up about 1/4 of the way ( depending on how big it is) fill with some bleach

STEP FIVE:
Tie the shorts in the centre using an elastic band or some rope & place in the diluted bleach

KW by Kanye West at Paris FW - Round 2.

Remember a couple months ago Kanye West launched his clothing like KW by Kanye West & it was well... basically a diaster, well he's come back again STRONGER ! I must say I think that criticism helped him a hell of a lot. Comparing this W/A collection with the previous collection and you can instantly see the improvement. However one thing I must say is, the fashion Kanye & the Kanye we all know & have grown to love are two totally different people. I'm still anticapting the moment that Kanye finds his voice in fashion. One thing I'm certain about is that he is not putting 100% Kanye into his clothing line. Perhaps he's worried about the criticism he'll receive if he does - who knows ?! However when he does put in 100% I'm sure the industry experts will be shocked yet pleased at the same time.
Accessories from Kanye West's fall/winter 2012 Paris Fashion Week show.
Kanye the fashion newbie is safe, whereas the usual Kanye is so bold and has the idgaf attitude - am I the only one that wants to see this in his clothing line ?! I'm sure I'm right in saying that the criticism from the previous show knocked his confidence a bit.
But one thing I do love about this collection are the shapes, patterns and textures incorporated. The way in which the pieces have been put together show that a lot more thought has gone into the process.
For me this definitely deserves a thumbs up - well done 'Ye.
